Thoughts during a motivational lecture

I was attending a motivational-cum-inspirational session of "How to change our mindsets and be THE BEST, get double promotion or appraisals". The session was of two hours, and I was literally getting more agitated and disheartened to see the speaker creating a divide, a wrong perception, and establishing an incorrect standard among all of the listeners. What's worse was, his presentation and oratory skills were so superb and engaging that everyone forcefully remained engaged and allowed their brains to get washed. While the session was going on, my thoughts inside were dancing, and fighting and I really wanted to speak out and confront the speaker, "NO! YOU ARE WRONG" but how could I, and so I just started writing what I felt according to me was right and what I felt according to me he was wrong on. I literally parallelly was typing out this scribbler along with the session. (Please note, I don't oppose the speaker, but I oppose the mindset and his thoughts...

Different Shades

Image
Perspectives matter. In the rush and hush of proving one section of people or ideology correct, one should not ignore the other section altogether. Everyone should be heard and felt inclusive. The divisions are a myth. Life is not binary and every personality is the amalgamation of good and less-good factors. Every person has different shades of personality just like different shades of color. And that difference doesn't make that color out of the palette. Unlike political parties that keep enforcing their machinery to maintain a division in society (grey), we should be respectful and tolerant of all views, and perspectives (rainbow).  Is it a good idea to judge any person and blindly announce it either completely right or completely wrong? Life hai, BJP Congress party thodi hai!? Everyone has their own stories right? Our life is not just 1’s and 0’s You know… So, There was never a question Of who is right or who is wrong But it’s a question of WHAT is right or what is wron...

क्योकि मै लड़की हू

Image
February18th, 2020 - This day two totally opposite headlines came in " Divya Bhaskar's " Front page. First headline read: "Women now possess rights to have post of major/leader/commander in army". Second headline read: "Girls were stripped by teachers in a college to check if they are in periods because s ome Godmen consider it as sin (The authorities have apologized but so called godmen still are firm on their stand)" First headline made me happy (and even sad because Modi government was against this 😡 and I am huge fan of Modi and it was not expected from his government) but this second headline made me go mad. The girls were checked by other women teachers in a college to check if they are so called in sinister mode. Women against another women! This should change! If any religion claims and promotes gender inequality - then that isn't religion at all. Be it then this incident, sabarimala's or incidents of Triple Talaq. No one has righ...

Monochromatic contrasts

Alone, around this blue planet, moon revolves, ...for fortnight, It evolves,  ...for another, It dissolves!!   The loneliness of moon,  is the dissolving part of it,  and strangely! the loneliness of moon,  is 'also' the evolving part of it!

My first published ebook

Image
I am very happy to inform that I have published my ebook on Amazon Kindle. This ebook is a compilation of my poems I had been writing since years. The price is 100 Rs (but I will get only 49 Rs per sale :p ). Those who know me and my writing style will know that I write as a hobby and I use very simple words. So don't expect any "literature" masterpiece. This book doesn't have high fi languages, sensationalizing Shakespearean verses but it surely has innocent narration of events, wisdom, knowledge, learning, experiences and memories. So if you are a casual reader, looking for some good and productive reading, this book is right for you. Paperback version also coming soon.  "Cup of Tea with Spoon of Wisdom" Click here to visit kindle bookstore   Happy Reading :) https://www.amazon.in/dp/B084D72LJY/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_TVqnEbBBP886C

I am learning!

After a long break, I resumed updating the blog..This is the poem which shares few lessons learnt in this short period of break...To summarize it: Moments and life's value remains with us always, but in rush and hush, in shyness and hesitations-it is we ourselves, who don't see or enjoy them and when we realize it-it gets too late....

My attempt to write Gujarati Shayaris...

Yup, suddenly one day my friend texted me to know whether I can write him up few Gujarati pieces on various topics. Well, skeptically I told I would try. And here am I with few Gujarati Shayaris...I don't know whether they fits well with format or rhymes...But as they are written by me, I thought of sharing them through my blog...

Sonnet:Laugh Out Loud

Image
A Sonnet is a poem of fourteen lines using any of a number of formal rhyme schemes, in English typically having ten syllables per line. This is the sonnet echoing how the new generation is mad on selfies and have forgotten even to smile while clicking themselves.

Marathon of 'on campus' in campus!

Image
It's my last semester in Engineering and so companies have started on campus placement sessions in full swing. On year's last day (i.e 31 December, 2015), I faced a recruitment session of my college. It was great. I earned experience and few thoughts which are shared here. Every college student, especially those who have experience of campus drives will empathize with this poem...

When passions meet reality!

Image
Passions are often misconceived as dreams which one sees for his or her future. But in this journey of life all is not perfectly arranged and sometimes reality defeats passions, diverts interests and even sometimes change the very road of journey. This is the poem scribbling out exactly the same, #thelostpassion, which is re-found or re-discovered suddenly...

There is a place in Vadodara where only Fridays market opens and functions. Therefore name of this market is Shukravaari. Shukravaari contains poor sellers who sell mostly used things from pin to furniture, from circuit spare parts to mobiles in economical price...The market which opens up only on Friday gets widespread to 2 Kilometers on both side of roads, with heavy outcome of customers as well. Somehow I and my friend bumped into the market to buy few things...And here too, I could not resist but express my experience with poetry...Do bear with me (To know more about Shukravaari market: http://archive.indianexpress.com/…/old-is-gold-vete…/385146/ )

Patient of impatience!

Image
There is a nice Hindi proverb which says: "Sabar Ka Fal Meetha Hota Hai" means "Fruits of Patience are sweet". But today's generation lacks the attribute of patience. For them, patience is synonym of slower. While it is not always so, youth must understand that life is not on the measures of 3G's and 4G's but it is a constant flow of time and wisdom whose essential ingredient is patience. Therefore, even in tough times, rather than getting irritated or pessimistic, one has to be patient. (No pun intended :P ) Enjoy the poem...

Move on!?

Image
This poem discuss the pros and cons of how tough is it to move on. People usually considers moving on-an act of bravery without thinking the possibilities. The poem mentions that "moving on" is not always an act of bravery. Move on, according to Google, has two meanings: "Leave some act" or "Progress"...Which meaning you chose decides your destiny.

सफ़र : कया अजीब नहीं है ये? (Road Trip: Hindi Poem)

I need a "Reset" button!

Image
Sometimes out of extremely intense and unfavorable situation, emerge a wish! A wish of restarting the life...A wish: "May I get this life to live again, better! What if I could reset my life!" And in this wish we even forget that our unidirectional life can never take U turn. The time has gone and this present time shall to pass!!

O clouds! What were you trying to communicate?

Image
Mother nature’s anger have never spared anyone..Be it then Uttarakhand’s heavy downpour or Mumbai's recent washout. The poem is trying to decode the messages clouds want to provide to humanity...

My Bicycle (Hindi poem)

Image
Bicycle is the integral part of everyone's childhood. Many memories triggers when we remember our childhood's best friend. Here is the poem, on my bicycle, which symbolically reflects my (human's) laziness and fickleness.

What to Write?

Image
Sometimes it gets really tough to decide on what to write. It becomes difficult when many thoughts invades the minds, but neither turns into a word!! This dilemma on what to write, well, itself, became a subject for this poem!!
